Vaam Engineering was contracted to design and fabricate a stainless steel structural beam to be used on tanker trucks.
The simple cross section and long length required for this part made it a perfect candidate for our proprietary roll forming process. We specially designed the necessary tooling to construct this beam. Using our largest roll forming line (3″ mill), high strength 201 LN stainless steel was formed into a 4′ – 25′ long x 0.135″ thick ring channel.
A tight tolerance of ±0.005″ was maintained throughout construction. End trimming was performed where required to reach the intended shape.
We fabricate 20,000 units of this part per year, meeting our client’s standards and our own quality specifications. This part is accurately and reliably manufactured at a competitive rate.
